Unexpected Joys

After waking up this morning, I thought for sure the day was going to terrible. I woke up to my alarm was blaring in my ear at 6:10. Again, 6:10! Have I told you I need to leave at 7:05 and my water needs to heat up for 2 hours? So as you can imagine I woke up quickly, ran to turn on my water, and said a prayer as I crawled back into bed for 30 minutes. I prayed please let me have hot water.

Turns it out, I did. Since I waited an extra 10 minutes in bed, I thought for sure I would miss my bus. I thought I will take my bike but the seat was all wet and even if I did... I'll still miss it. So I walked. And made my bus! At the right time! It was seriously such a God thing. He is so good in all the little things and the big things. On my way, I read the update from Mindy about how they are handling the passing of Ben. Her words are so encouraging. I'm glad she will continue to write for a while. I will definitely be checking in on them.

Mondays are my days to work on my German. At 3:30, I left school and came straight home. I had a successful hour and half lesson. Afterwards, I made dinner and waited for Nicole, Erin and Matt. We had a few hang ups but finally made it work! It was so fun to see them! Funny thing, the girls and I both had chili, too!

Afterwards, I got a ring from my landlord. I received a wonderful package. I wasn't even expecting this!
Sarah, one of the girls visiting, sent some goodies before flying to London. It was so thoughtful of her! I can't wait to host her and the other three girls on Wednesday. Between the FaceTime and the package, this has been a wonderful Monday. God is so good!
