A little over a month ago I was stepping on my flight from Roma to Philly. As I took my seat, I had no idea what the next month of my life would include -well the rest of my life to be quite honest. Let's just say I'm back to the typical American twenty something lifestyle. I have officially graduated from Lebanon Valley College and am currently working as a preschool teacher at the Goddard School. This happened within the first week I was home, which was such a blessing! One of my biggest fears of studying abroad my last semester was finding a job when I returned.
So far it sounds like my life is together, right? Well, my living situation is a bit more complicated. Right now, I am living out of a suitcase in my friend's house. My friend's have a place in Annville which is 30 minutes from work compared to my house which is 1 hr 15 minutes from work. So I am happily crashing at my college roommates' place as I look for an apartment. My search thus far has obviously been unsuccessful. I am hopeful (I must be!). This week I have two appointments made. Sadly, they are 40 minutes from work but within my price range.
Italia taught me to budget my money fairly well. Even came home with an unexpected amount of money. Now that I have that in my system, I need to stick with it. Not only to make my payments, but because I want to save my money for a trip back to Italy or Spain come December. That's right I'm planning my trip back. I have made so many great friends while I was there and hope that I can see them again.
This is my little update about life. I hope to keep blogging and use this to keep in-touch. That is why this blog was not titled with an Italian phrase. It is called Daily Keepings because I want to record the next stages in my life. I hope they are filled with more traveling. For now, it will be filled with little stories about my preschoolers and the search for an apartment.
