- I've been mistaken for German---twice. And I was afraid I would stick out.
- Attended Berlin Connect, a church -Not so sure if this is where I need to be. I will be going with Jess and Mike next Sunday. Still searching and praying.
- Made my first solo trip from work to the house. No problems what so ever!
- Maybe, Maybe will get to see an apartment. Fingers crossed! PLEASE PRAY! It is very had to find one because it's like Craig's List in some ways... all a huge scam. I'm hoping and praying that this is not because I love it. With that, I must say I hate apartment hunting.
- This past weekend, we went to the aquarium and saw the loins being fed. Pretty cool. Cross that off my bucket list.
- The teachers at the school are wonderful and so friendly. I feel very welcomed and look forward to working with them.
- I'm looking forward to meeting some English speakers and make some friends. One of the hardest part is that all of you are there -miles away. I'm missing you so much. I have not been able to call home until yesterday because I feel like I'll just cry the whole time. I have had two successful Facetime talk but still when I text my dad and a few others, I cry. So I'm working up to calling you. Trust me it's not because you aren't thought of. Every single day!
- I'm realizing I'm a bit of a homebody -more than I thought. I'm comfortable with evenings on the couch and just relaxing. I guess part of me knows that I won't have this very long and soon I'll be going to work everyday. I just haven't really explored part of it for this reason, the other Berlin is so spread out it's intimidating.
xoxoxo... will call soon.
Good Morning Katie :)
ReplyDeleteI wish that when you were home I would have found out from you how you wanted me to get in touch with you!
Really, really enjoy your blogs!!!!! Sounds like you are off and running!
Things around here are very busy. Pap is busy with his Montys stuff ( soil enhancement products) plus we are getting ready for another busy season at East Snyder Park! I will take the twins to youth group on Wednesday. It's when I catch up with them on their lives. They don't seem to have any time to sleep over on the weekends. I do have the twins and Dad over for meals every now and then. If I didn't hate to cook I'd have them over more often.
I need to tell you that your writings have been very interesting -- maybe you should be a writer!
I am glad everyone is so friendly. I'm sure it really is helpful!
Not ever in my whole life would I ever have been as adventuresome as you are! Wow! you are awesome!
I spoke wit Sarah this evening to catch up with her. I call her every week. You know I have to apologize to you for not doing the same when you went to LVC! I knew you'd fit right in, I really worried about Sarah. She seems to be thriving. At Easter we are going out for her and Grammy an Pappy Deppen will take her back. We will make it a 2 day trip just like the Deppens do it. You know that's hard on us old folks!?#@&*
We try to go down Fridays to see Lilliana. She really gets better and better at walking. She will get cleft pallet surgery on May7 th at Hershey. They usually take the little ones first because of the fasting. You might want to write the date down to contact Jenna.
Will always remember when you all would stay at our house every weekend while you were growing up! Fell so lucky since some Grams only see their grand babes once or twice a year because they don't live close. And now look -- you are all grown up!! and a world traveler!!
It's time to retire for the night so I'll end for now! Pap helped me get on your site to reply because I'm not so smooth on the computer!?#@*
Stay safe!
Luv Ya Forever!!! Gram
