The Reasons

I am a strong believer in everything happens for a reason. Events will happen in my life to later help someone through a similar situation OR will later explain my own situation.

Chain of events leading to this post...

1. My dad misunderstood and thought I wanted to come home the weekend of Sept. 21.
2. He made my car inspection for that weekend....
3. Therefore, having my grandparents switch cars with me on Thursday, Sept. 20.
4. I woke up in the morning and drove my grandparents' car to student teaching.
5. I hit a deer. If it was my car, the deer could of possibly went on my hood and through the windshield.

I don't know the angles and speed, but there is always the what-if. Especially, since the hood of my car slopes much harder and the deer wouldn't have much to hit otherwise.

This is where the what-ifs start. Those questioning moments makes each of us wonder if today was my last day where would I be? I have thought long and hard about this question. When I attended church on Sunday, God hit me hard. Harder than I have been hit for the last year...

In conclusion, I want you to remember the what-ifs in your life.

We need not to be let alone. We need to be really bothered once in a while. How long is it since you were really bothered? About something important, about something real? [Ray Bradbury, Fahrenheit 451]

I have been bothered. I hope it doesn't take an accident for you to be bothered. Would you live differently? Would you take more time for yourself? Make some time for God?

I also wonder, what if I never met you? How different would my life be?
