Revelation While Moving In

Before I start, you should know I've been distant from God. I rather not talk about it but I would like to share a revelation I had last night. This happened while I was moving into my summer housing....

Yesterday at 4:30 I started packing my care to move my belongings across campus. These items included a fridge, microwave, TV (pictured below). I should tell you I moved them myself. Something I felt incredibly proud about. Me- a girl- one who hasn't been fit in a long time- still has it! That fridge that was moved by two guys before!

Moving on, I continued to pack, unload, pack, unload... Each trip back and forth to my car, I tried to take as much as possible. This might include three bags, a trash can, and poster or backpack, two boxes, and hangers. Well, on one of my trips I just couldn't get a grip on my plastic stand and a tub of sweatshirts. Before I knew it the top of my stand was coming loose. There I was in between my car and the building, when I heard, "Would you like help?" Was that person talking to me? Am I the only one struggling? Where is the voice coming from? I felt crazy until I looked over my shoulder and saw a woman standing there. I replied, "No I got it. Thanks." By the time I got to my door, maybe a minute later, she was gone -disappeared.

Once I moved my belongings in, I realized you idiot! She offered you help -why didn't you take it!?!? For whatever reason I thought this is what God does. From somewhere, you hear a voice -we can't see it, can't tell what direction it came from, were you the only one who heard it? The voice offeres help, a suggestion. However, in our pride we deny it. We say "We got it. Thanks but no thanks." We not only deny help but we deny to believe we are actually struggling. And once there is nothing for the other person to do they; they don't interfere -because of free will.
