Break

I know! I know! I'm slacking. Honestly, I'm OK. I'm currently on spring break and loving every second of it. There are two times of year that I get to enjoy just to myself. These are winter and spring break when my roommates and over half the student body leave campus. Sure, some go on wonderful trips to the beach, other aboard for a week, and others just simply home to the comfort. For me, I stay on campus and work in the Admissions Office during the day. By mid-afternoon I am back in my apartment working on homework, watching multiple episodes of the same show (which I recently discovered I have problem with -more later), and eating. The problem is that once I start liking a show I want to know the history. Therefore, I start with episode one and watch all of it until I'm caught up. Thus far, I have watched all of Downton Abbey, Modern Family, and currently on NCIS. Now you may be thinking boring spring break but for me it's a breath of air. The time to take life at my pace and try something new. This time I tried something new with my hair. I did a no heat curl. (picture below)

It worked! -in the sense that it curled (for all day may I add) but my hair was flat in the back. I'll try again tomorrow. I'm going to keep this short because I love to write but I love to read more. See, I follow quite a few blogs. This one blog today suggested a book titled Sharp Objects. She said she was up all night and it haunted her. I had to read it. It's been so long that I read a book I couldn't put down. In fact, it was The Help. Anyway, I value her opinion and she herself is a talented writer. I've been supporting her work and another blogger lately with buying a zine (amazing!) and a book. (pictured below)

Alright, I must start and finish lesson plans so I can read!
xoxo
